Corinne Demas is the award-winning author of twenty-nine books for adults and children, including four novels, two short story collections, a memoir, Eleven Stories High: Growing up in Stuyvesant Town, 1948-1968, and a collection of poetry, The Donkeys Postpone Gratification. Her recent novel The Writing Circle and her new Young Adult novel Everything I Was are now out in paperback. She is a Professor of English at Mount Holyoke College and a Fiction Editor of The Massachusetts Review.
Joann Kobin, author of Woman Made of Sand, A Novel in Stories. Her work has appeared in numerous journals and anthologies, including Ploughshares, New England Review, Antioch Review and the Boston Globe. A self-described 'work bigamist,' she began her professional life as a clinical social worker and started writing fiction mid-journey, inspired by Grace Paley and Alice Munroe.
Zane Kotker, author of White Rising, has published three novels with Alfred Knopf and a fourth with Random House, as well as a dozen stories and a recent chapbook of poems. She's received a fiction grant from the National Endowment for the Arts, a couple of Pushcart nominations, and a 2012 Must Read recommendation from the Massachusetts Center for the Book.
This series is curated by Forbes Writer in Residence Susan Stinson who is the award-winning author of three previous novels and a collection of poetry and lyric essays. Spider in a Tree, her novel about Northampton and Jonathan Edwards, is forthcoming from Small Beer Press.
